College Recruitment

New for 2017 - iSoccerPath College Mentoring Program

FOR PARENTS -

SWAT has partnered with the iSoccerPath.com Educational Organization to provide an honest and informative path for youth soccer families that enables student athletes to maximize recruiting and educational opportunities at the collegiate level.  Utilizing comprehensive parent/player education and assistance programs that include on field evaluations and in home/online tutorial sessions, iSoccerPath objectively helps players determine if playing soccer collegiately is a good fit, how to be an advocate for yourself, and how to determine what educational program is a good fit academically for you, how to pick ID camps, how to set short term and long term goals, how to stay focused on a daily basis..

If you have a player in 8th grade thru high school senior that has questions regarding the collegiate process, iSoccerPath has a program based on a yearly calendar that guides you through this process.  There is even an accelerated 12th grade program for 90-120 days that can help you get on a college coach's radar.

FOR PLAYERS - Playing Sports Collegiately is tough.  The number of high school students that play in NCAA DI, II or III is small regardless of your sport or gender (see chart below.)  There are other leagues (NAIA /PDL) and Junior Colleges that serve as good alternatives as well.  Regardless of what collegiate path fits, you need to have good grades, have a realistic understanding of what your playing ability is, know how to reach out to coaches and be an advocate for yourself and how to pick a school that is a good academic fit for you whether you play sports there or not.  Because believe it or not, coaches don't always stay in one place.  So if you pick a school just for the coach, you could be very disappointed when you show up for the new school year and the coach that recruited you is no longer at that school.  Yep it happens.

I know this is a lot to take in.  And that's why SWAT Soccer has partnered with iSoccerPath.  If this is a dream of yours (now I'm talking to the player here...not the parent) then you deserve to have the opportunity to explore this as an option.  Who knows.  Along the way you might find a school that you like that would have never been on your radar to consider, you might find a reason to try harder in that science class that is not your gig because you need that A to raise your GPA to get that academic scholarship to supplement the small soccer athletic scholarship the school can give you.   Maybe you learn to break out of your shell and have the confidence to call a complete stranger on the phone to say, "Hi.  I'm this really great person that also happens to play soccer, you should take a look at me.  Can I send you my resume and highlight video?"

All in all, we feel like information is EMPOWERING.  As a future grown-up, you deserve the opportunity to figure out what is right for you.  So start the process of discovery.  We hope you find out some interesting things along the way.

Jeff & Everyone at iSoccerPath

We wanted to let you know that our daughter just committed to one of her top choices this week and she is absolutely thrilled.  We started with iSoccerPath 3 years ago and with your help and guidance, our daughter learned and implemented the iSoccerPath program which made her responsible for doing most of the work so that the coaches would get to know her personally.  We feel, as parents, that you and iSoccerPath were a huge part of our daughters and our families navigating the process behind the scenes to give her all the tools the coaches look for.  We could not be more happy with your service. She will get to go to a University of California school to get her education and be able to be a student athlete for a great coach and soccer program. We could not have done it without you! We have 2 more soccer players in our family and would, and do, highly recommend ISoccerPath to others. It's a great program. Thank you!!
