Coach registration for the
Fall 2026/2027 season is open!


There are 3 steps to completing your registration:

1. Every coach and team manager must complete 2 online training courses, SafeSport and Concussion, every year and have a cleared background check.

(Background checks are valid for 2 years.)
UYSA is moving away from using the SafeSport and HeadsUp websites and is asking that all coaches and admins go through the Learning Center to complete the online courses starting this year. This will sync and automatically upload your completion certificates to your coaching account so you will no longer need to upload them during the registration process.

Go to https://learning.ussoccer.com/ and create a free account with U.S. Soccer.

     (If you use the same exact name, DOB and email as your Affinity account (step 2 below), your completion certificates should upload automatically when you register instead of requiring you to upload them.)

Once logged in, you'll need to complete these 2 courses:

- SafeSport
- Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments

You'll use this same Learning Center account when you get your coaching license—see below.

Do not complete the background check in the Learning Center. You only need to complete the 2 courses. The background check will be completed as part of the coach registration process in Step 2.

2. Register as a coach.
You can do that here using your team’s HC, AC, or TM Code:

3. You will need a coaching license, which requires taking and passing 2 in-person classes.

(If you already have a coaching license, you can disregard this step.)

 You'll register for the classes through UYSA. Here is where you will find all of the info and instructions to register for your 2 in-person classes:

Once you have registered/paid for your classes, UYSA will add a coaching waiver to your profile to use while you wait to finish your classes.
